Abuelo Ruben
Ruben Robles was born in 1951 in Chihuahua. He came to Ensenada with his family for business when he was a young man. He worked his whole life selling knick knacks and second hand items. He never married, never had children. Regardless, his best advice was to seek God and work hard for your family.
We met Ruben when he came to Casa del Abuelo in August 2021. He loved watching baseball and doing word searches. Despite an accident that left him with only one eye, he loved to read. He sat in the sun everyday and read his bible. He also loved playing dominos and talking with the other abuelos that he referred to as his friends.
Abuelo Ruben passed away almost exactly a year after he came to live at the ministry. He was experiencing digestive problems that required two surgeries. He passed away in the hospital due to complications with the second surgery. He was 70 years old. He will be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him.
