Abuela Berta

Berta Rodirguez Flores is in good physical health and can do many things for herself except that she suffers from dementia. Her inability to remember where she is and what she is doing requires full time care.

When she is clear minded she talks about her family. She remembers her husband and her six children. She shared that she did not have the opportunity to go to school so she never worked outside of the home. She happily stayed home and cared for the children while her husband worked full time to support them. Sometimes they had all they needed and sometimes they didn't but in either case they were a happy family.

Abuela Berta left Casa del Abuelo in February 2023. One of her son's came to pick her up so that she could live out the rest of her days with family.
